EXCELLENT Based on 22 reviews Ian DNovember 18, 2024Verified Small Group Day Trip to Marrakesh My friends and I are all retired and came to Morocco on a golfing holiday. On the one day we weren’t golfing we wanted to visit Marrakesh and see many of the local sites. I had contacted Rachid before we travelled to Morocco and he had given me a day’s itinerary that looked just what we wanted. There were 7 of us and this was a private tour in an air conditioned Mercedes Minivan with our own English speaking guide (called Hussan). We were collected from our hotel at 9am and first visited the largest mosque in Marrakesh. We then moved to the Bahia Palace, then into The Medina and Souk, where we lunched in an authentic Moroccan restaurant. We saw traditional Moroccan rug making and a local pharmacy/apotheke with many local oils and herbal remedies. We finished our day visiting the botanical gardens that were developed by Yves St Laurent and his partner and lastly the museum of Yves St Laurent. Our guide was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable of Marrakesh and its history (and of Morocco as well). Our driver for the day was also excellent.I would recommend this day trip to any visitors to the Marrakesh area. Marina VMay 13, 2024Verified Morocco Private Tours provided great service from the beginning to the end of our journey. In April 2024, my family and I embarked on a trip to Morocco accompanied by three teenagers. Rashid skillfully organized our entire itinerary, relieving me of any planning responsibilities. He promptly addressed all my concerns and questions with great responsibility. The accommodations selected were superb, and the tour guides in each city were knowledgeable. Abdul, our driver, provided excellent service, remaining by our side throughout the journey and chauffeuring us to dinners and other destinations at our convenience. I highly recommend this company for anyone planning a Moroccan adventure. Yinka AOctober 22, 2023Verified Dune Buggy Tour of the Erg Chebbi Sahara Morocco Private Tour set up this dune buggy tour of the mysterious golden Zerg Chebbi Sahara. We couldn’t have been happier with the experienced dune buggy tour guides selected. They spoke English perfectly and knew every twist and turn of the landscape. They were respectful of our comfort levels and expertly guided us up, over and around dunes giving us breathless thrills and chills. Ours was a 4-hour. Had we known then what we know now, we’d have booked a full day dune buggy tour to watch the sun rise, explore the dunes and the watch the sun set over the Sahara. But this was a magical experience that will be emblazoned in our memories for the rest of our lives! Thank you Rachid et al! RNCPNJune 30, 2023Verified Amazing experience! Amazing experience in Morocco! What a beautiful and welcoming country, rich in history and culture. This company took care of everything and made sure we experienced as much of Morocco as possible! Our driver (Abdul) was like family by the end and he in conjunction with Mr Rachid was available for anything and everything we needed. I highly recommend Morocco Private Tour! Michael CMay 1, 2023Verified Another amazing trip to Morocco. We first came to Morocco in October last year and were looked after by Morocco Private Tour. We had a lot we still wished to see, so returned this April. Due to the excellent level of service we used the same company. We visited Marrakesh, with its amazing market, architecture and hospitality. We also spent some time in the spectacular Dades Valley, before venturing to the Sahara Dessert for a very special night out in a tent in the lee of the sand dunes. We took a camel ride across the sands to watch the sunset. Truly magical and special. The food throughout was excellent, and our thanks to Rashid for organising the tour once more and to wonderful Abdul our driver who looked after us throughout. The most important impression we always take home after our trips is the wonderful kindness, welcome and genuineness of the Mirrocans. SanaeApril 17, 2023Verified A Memorable Family Trip to Morocco We just returned from an 8-night family trip to Morocco and had the most memorable time. Morocco Private Tours was recommended to us by friends from the UK who went a few years back. From my initial email contact to the last day or the trip, Rachid was very responsive and helpful on email and whatsapp. We flew in from London Gatwick to Marrakech where we were met by Abdellah, who drove and looked after us through the entire trip. His expert driving and guiding was invaluable. Our teen-age kids sometimes felt a bit overwhelmed by the bustling streets of a Medina, but were always comforted to be back in the car with Abdellah who would show up exactly at the right time to pick us up.We stayed in Marrakech, Dades Valley, in the Sahara Desert, Fez, Rabat, and finally again in Marrakech. We also stopped at Ait Benhaddou, Quarzazate, Ifrane, Volubilis, Meknes, and Casablanca, and drove on the road of 1000 Kasbahs. All places of stay were beautiful and comfortable; we especially liked Riad Myra in Fez, Dar Riad Rihana in Dades Valley, Royal Luxury Camp, and Riad Melhoun in Marrakech. Everyone was welcoming and hospitable even though we visited during the holy month of Ramadan and the staff were fasting all day. In Dades Valley, the owner prepared a beautiful dinner for all the guests, which was a fusion between Moroccan and European. In the desert camp, we had the place to ourselves. The music at night was spontaneous and enjoyable; the staff kindly let us try the instruments. This was an unforgettable experience.Food was good throughout, some very reasonably priced and some expensive. The restaurants Abdellah took us to were all reasonably priced. The dinner in the first hotel in Marrakech (Movenpick) was an amazingly grand buffet but quite expensive at 450 DH pp and we felt we couldn't eat this much food in one go. I believe they only had the buffet option because it was during Ramadan. Our favourite vote goes to the dinner in Riad Rihana in Dades Valley and the massive Tagine cooked by Faizal in the Royal Luxury Camp. The Berber pizza in Rissani was also lovely. All of these 3 meals were included in the trip.We had a private guide in each city who were all professional and punctual. To highlight some of them, we very much enjoyed walking with Mohammed in Fez. From him, we learned a lot about the Medina, Islam, education, daily lives, Moroccan history and customs. From Rachid in Meknes, we learned more about Islam and the Mosques and how to bargain, and Simo in Rabat about politics, history and economics. We did some shopping in the co-operatives (Berber rugs, Argan Oil and the Rosewater). The shopping experience itself was quite a novelty, but as we're not used to the bargaining we found it tricky. Rachid the guide in Meknes gave us the most guidance about this and the Damasquinurie co-operative was not pushy at all. In hindsight, we should have waited to buy the Berber rugs and not gone to the co-operative in Marrakech at the beginning because the rugs had to come with us through the trip. The Argan Oil and the Rosewater co-operatives were run by women and it was fascinating to learn about the protection of the Berber traditional method of making the products. We always needed to have small bills for tips to the guides, restaurants and porters, but the ATM usually gave us just 100 and 200 MDHs, so it was necessary to purchase small items to break the bills. With Rachid and Abdellah we got to see so many different aspects of Morocco and 8 days were certainly not enough. We met some very kind-hearted people on the trip. Hopefully, we can visit the country again in the future. David DFebruary 19, 2023Verified Very good Super Hospitable, was able to be very agile and make changes on the spot, Rashid is incredibly friendly and professional, knows his work. Morocco a beautiful country with beautiful people. Sophia SJanuary 22, 2023Verified Excellent Experience was excellent. Driver picked us up from the airport and do the airport. Tours were great and private with great guides and drivers. Highly recommend if visiting Morocco. Michael COctober 24, 2022Verified Six days of Wonder in Morocco We got in touch with Morocco Private Tour because we wished for a bespoke and special trip to Morocco. I realised we were onto a good thing from my first contact with Rashid via email. From the planning stage till the end Rashid organised a trip that delighted us. He would attend to every query from us quickly and with great energy and tweaked things around until they were perfect for our needs. Upon arrival in Tangiers we were met by Abdul who would be our driver for the next 6 days. Abdul is kindness personified. Nothing was a problem and he looked after us with great diligence and kindness. During our trip we stayed in beautiful Dars and Riads. I would like to make special mention of Maison de Tangiers, where apart from the grounds, the staff were incredibly welcoming and Dar Jasmine in Chefchaouen where we were greeted like royalty and had wonderful rooms overlooking the stunning blue city. In each town we visited we had our own private guide. They were all punctual and excellently versed in the local history and geography of their areas. An outstanding guide was Mohammed from Fes. Walking the streets with him, with his calming presence and quiet disposition was a real treat. He took us to the restaurant where we had the best meal in the whole trip. The food overall was delicious. We felt safe at all times, and Morocco has become since I last visited 25 years ago, a genuinely welcoming country where the streets were clean, green and safe. A country is not only measured by its history and culture but by its people. You couldn't hope for a friendlier people than Moroccans. It has been a real pleasure to have been introduced to all of this by Rashid and Abdul, and for a few days to have experienced and been part of this wonderful culture. gs202210morOctober 18, 2022Verified Amazing experience Abdoullah has been a wonderful driver while giving us guidance and answers to all of our questions. We had a very short but intense trip booked in a small group from Marrakech To Merzouga to Fez in 2(!) days, and we got lucky because it ended up with just the two of us in the small group. The company really did an amazing job providing us with this experience without holding back. We have enjoyed all of the stops, from Ait Ben Haddou up to Ifran. All of the many faces Morocco has, from snowy mountains in the High Atlas, to dry sand dunes in Erg Chebbi, to pouring rain in Ifran National Park (while still being able to spot Macaques). We owe special thanks and gratefulness to Abdoullah who went above and beyond our expectations, with his deep knowledge on all subjects with regards to Moroccan landscapes, politics and history. His humor, warm friendliness and politeness made this trip unforgettable and a strong recommendation to all.

Enjoy hiking, swimming, and birdwatching (the area is home to pink flamingos, Audouin’s gulls, and the rare and endangered northern bald ibis). Before heading back, stop in the market town of Tiznit Explore the Deserts No trip to Morocco is complete without time spent in the desert! Set just southwest of Marrakech, the Agafay Desert makes an excellent reprieve from the bustling city. Ride horses through the dunes or let an e-bike help you conquer the hills. Erg Chebbi and its massive sand peaks (topping off at 2,400 feet (730 m) is the ideal spot for active desert excursions. Enjoy jeep tours, ATV rides, quad adventures, sandboarding, hiking, and more! Horseback Riding in the Agafay Desert Explore the desert on horseback, riding through the rocky and sandy dunes of the Agafay Desert outside of Marrakech. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in the desert before heading back. E-Bike Adventure in Agafay Desert An e-bike excursion through the desert is the perfect compromise: slower than an ATV but faster than a horse—plus, it gives you an advantage when tackling those challenging hills! Start with a fun quad ride from Marrakech, passing through the surrounding landscape of arid hills and palm trees. Then pedal into the Agafay Desert from Terre des Etoiles. You'll head down canyons and up dunes, experiencing all the various colors of Morocco's scenic desert landscape How to Craft the Perfect Active Itinerary in Morocco Any Moroccan itinerary can easily include active excursions, and most do so naturally! If you want to explore the Moroccan Desert, include an ATV tour or camel ride. If you want to visit the Blue City of Chefchaouen, take a day trip into the Rif Mountains and hike to a waterfall. If you want to experience the local culture, trek into the Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains. There are endless ways to combine sightseeing, culture, and active experiences in Morocco. Sticking to a few activities in one or two regions requires about 5-7 days. With this amount of time, you can enjoy buzzy Marrakech, ride horses in the Agafay Desert, hike in the Atlas Mountains, and surf on the coast. For a more subdued pace, or to add more activities and regions, plan for at least one week and tack on a few extra days to travel between areas.

Fes is home to the world's largest Old Town, meaning there's plenty to keep you entertained in this historical city! You'll find a maze of energetic streets twisting through the medina, filled with shops, architecture, and unique workshops, like brass etching and bookbinding. But one of Fes' highlights is its surroundings, which offers several cultural day trips, like a Jewish heritage tour in Sefrou or visits to Berber villages in the mountains. Additionally, Fes is home to several music festivals each year, including the famed Sacred Music Festival in July. Getting Oriented Set in the country's north, Fes acts like a gateway to one of the most popular regions of Morocco. Northern Morocco is full of imperial cities, mountain ranges, dense forests, and ancient ruins, with Fes as its major hub. Travelers flock to Fes for numerous reasons, one being its Old Town (Medina), which is the world's largest and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can spend all your days wandering through its maze of streets and alleys, but there's a lot more to experience in the city. With so many highlights in Morocco, Fes offers some of the country's most unique cultural experiences. You can take several workshops in the city, such as bookbinding, leather stamping, and brass etching, plus learn about Sacred Geometry, an Islamic art skill that you'll often see on sides of buildings and mosques throughout Morocco. You can also enjoy large music festivals that take over the city and plenty of day trips to nearby villages and cities. inquire us now Attend a Workshop With such a large and dense Old Town, you'll find many opportunities to dive deeper into Morocco's culture. You can take workshops that teach you more about the city's history, plus offer new art skills you can take home with you. Sacred Geometry Workshop You'll probably notice a lot of geometric art around Morocco, especially on the facades of historic buildings and mosques. This Islamic art is known as Sacred Geometry, and you can learn more about it in a workshop. Discover the history behind this unique art form, learn tools and techniques, and then create a masterpiece of your own with the help of a professional artist. inquire us now Bookbinding & Leather Stamping Workshop If you've been eyeing all the intricate leather journals for sale in Morocco's famous souks, you can learn the process for yourself in a bookbinding and leather stamping workshop. A professional artisan will lead you through the process of binding a journal with Coptic stitches; then, you'll use stamps to create beautiful designs on the leather to make your journal as unique as you. Take home your masterpiece when you're finished! Brass Etching Workshop Discover the history behind Morocco's beloved traditional craft of brass etching. You'll find beautifully etched brass all over the country, especially when shopping in the buzzy souks. If you're tempted to buy a piece, why not learn more about the art and try your hand at this skill with an interactive workshop? After a history lesson, you'll discover the process of brass etching with the help of a professional artisan as you create your own tea tray. Take a Day Trip Although you could easily spend weeks in Fes without running out of things to do, one of the city's appeals is its surrounding region. Enjoy a day trip up into the mountains to meet with Berber tribes or explore other nearby towns. Learn Farming & Herding Techniques in the Ahinajen Berber Village Enjoy a day trip from Fes to the Berber village of Ahinajen to work with the local tribe's herders and shepherds. After lunch with the tribe's leader, you can work with either group to discover rural life in Morocco's Atlas Mountains. The farmers will teach you different techniques as you practice some of the skills in the fields yourself. Or, you can follow the shepherds and their livestock through the hills as you discover the challenges they face each day. Jewish Heritage Tour in Sefrou A day trip to the city of Sefrou allows you to learn how Jewish and Muslim communities lived side-by-side here until the late 1960s. At one point, Sefrou's population was one-third Jewish, and the city was known as "Little Jerusalem." The tour includes highlights such as the old Jewish quarter (Mellah), the Sefrou Synagogue, the Em Habanim school and orphanage, and the Jewish Cemetary of Sefrou. Experience the Culture Almost everything you can do in Fes links back to the city and country's culture, but there are a few ways to focus your trip around this topic. Let Your Kids Explore Fes With a Donkey Fes' historic Medina includes over 9,000 streets and alleyways. That's a lot of walking, especially if you have kids joining you on your exploration. Let them have a bit more fun by roaming Fes on a donkey! This unique experience is a great source of entertainment for your kiddos while you listen to guides share stories about the city's history, culture, and architecture. Attend the Sacred Music Festival Fes hosts the Sacred Music Festival every July, featuring various exhibits, performances, concerts, and events. Rather than focus on one venue, the festival takes over the city, hosting performances throughout different squares, venues, and parks. You can buy tickets for the entire event or particular concerts. Either way, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere as the city embraces the country's famed genoua music. How to Craft the Perfect Fes Itinerary Set in Northern Morocco, Fes can fit well into many Morocco itineraries. With an airport, you can easily make the city your start and endpoint or use it as a hub for exploration. Many other cities nearby pair nicely with Fes, including Chefchaouen, Rabat, Casablanca, and Tangier. If you don't have a lot of time, you could easily zip around to a few of these cities while touring Morocco in just 4 or 5 days. However, remember that Morocco is a large country, so how many days you spend in Morocco will depend on how much ground you want to cover. So, give yourself more time (at least a week) if you'd like to visit other cities like Marrakech or explore the coastal or desert regions.
