4 Days Marrakech To Desert

Day 1: Maraakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ouarzazate - Valley Of Roses - Dades Valley

We depart in the morning and drive 200 km through the Atlas Mountains 200 km to Tizin Ticha. We make a great first stop to visit Ait Ben Haddou, a 16th-century fortress classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Many great films have been shot there, including Gladiator, Babel, A Hologram for the King, Alexander, Le Diamant du Nil, Les Chemins de la liberté, Laurence of Arabia, and the Kingdom of Heaven. We have lunch in Ouarzazate (the capital of cinema in Africa). After lunch, we cross the Rose Valley and the 1000 Kasbah route. We spend the night in the Dades Gorges.

Day 2: Dades Valley - todra Gorges - merzouga (Night In The Desert)

After breakfast, we visit the Dades Valley and Todra Gorges, and we continue to Tafilaliet, with its 18th-century Ksours. We then continue on the ruins of Sijilmassa (nowadays Rissani), the first capital of Alouite dynasty in the 7th century In the afternoon, we go to the dunes of Merzouga desert and stop for mint tea with the nomads. We continue the journey with a camel ride to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and night in the Sahara luxury Camp.

Day 3: Sahara Desert

After breakfast, you will explore the desert area and the marvels of the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will have the opportunity to discover the nomads’ way of life and the amazing contrasts of the desert. You will visit the black village of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians and see the lake and the oasis. You will have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in Rissani and have a small visit to the market in Rissani. In the afternoon, back to the desert.

Day 4: Sahara Desert To Fez

We wake you up half an hour before sunrise to see magical lights of the sunrise. After you have a shower and breakfast, we ride camels back to the car and drive back to Feszfrom Merzouga via Rissani, Erfoud, the Ziz Valley ,and the Middle Atlas Mountains through the cedar forests of Azrou, where we stop to hand feed the monkeys. We will continue via Meknes to Fez.
